Kaiya's early birthday present

Last Saturday Kaiya received her birthday present, I know, I know, but I just couldn't wait to see her give it a go and the weekend was so beautiful.

It's a no pedal bike and she is in love with it. The concept of it is that at such a young age she is more inclined to use her feet to propel herself than pedals on a tricycle, which is so true since she refuses to even try pedalling "no mama, you push". This bike teaches them balance and independence. She sees other kids riding their bikes around and thinks that her new bike is exactly the same. The nice thing about it is that we can skip the whole tricycle and training wheels stage and go straight into a real bike when she is ready to pedal, or at least that's the idea. Till then, she is getting a poop load of exercise, sunshine and fresh air.
