Screams and Dreams
Does sleeping for babes ever get easier? Kaiya is now doing 2 naps for about 1-2 hours every day, yay! But she still has major difficulty falling asleep. Last night she screamed for an hour at bedtime, Blair and I continued to check on her every 10 minutes or so, but my goodness it was so frustrating. It's the same with her naps, she screams bloody murder before falling asleep. I know some babies are better sleepers than others but really, is this what we have to look forward to for every single nap and every time she goes to bed. At what point do they just go to sleep? Do they ever without crying? I know she is tired, she is yawing and rubbing her eyes, and she isn't over tired so WTF?!

How old is she now? There was a point, when my son was about 5-7 months old, where he screamed before falling asleep. At about a year old, he started just entertaining his self as he fell asleep on his own.
ReplyDeleteIt is frustrating though, isn't it? It was hard for me because I wanted to go in and rock him to sleep or lay down with him, thank goodness I didn't.
She is at the 7 months mark now, hopefully it'll start getting easier soon. It's nice to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for your support!
